What is Non Surgical Body Contouring?

Non-invasive body contouring involves treatments and procedures that focus on improving and enhancing the contours and aesthetics of the body. There are a variety of nonsurgical body slimming and shaping procedures. These procedures primarily aim to reduce or remove stubborn pockets of fat to help contour and shape different areas of the body. In addition to slimming, there are treatments that help diminish the appearance of cellulite and even help sculpt the muscles.  Because these treatments are non-invasive they require no down-time or surgery.  However they do require some lifestyle and diet modifications to obtain and maintain best results.

Who can and can't receive these treatments?

People who are generally healthy are typically safe to receive the treatments.  Situations such as cardiac and vascular diseases, diabetes, acute illness, compromised liver function, severe bleeding tendencies, pacemaker, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid undergoing the procedure.

How do I prepare for treatments?

Some treatments require additional guidelines however most of which follow a few basics.  We generally recommend to drink at least 2 liter of water and to avoid medium to heavy meals 2 hours before treatments.  Alcohol must be avoided within 24 hours of treatments.

What do I do after treatments?

Post treatment guidelines also vary depending on specific treatments.  We encourage to take in at least 2 liters of water and execute a minimum of 20 minutes of elevated heart rate cardio or ‘fat burning’ exercise, such as a brisk walk.

Why is hydration so important?

These treatments work by eliminating fat and toxins through body pathways such as the lymphatic, digestive, and urinary systems. Hydration plays a crucial role in the proper function of these body systems. Avoid taking any caffeine or diuretics on days of scheduled sessions.

How many sessions do I need?

Each case in unique and results vary.  The important thing to remember is that consistency is the key.  Results are accumulative and each session works off of the previous.  Although a consultation is required to provide better information.

How often should I do treatments?

This is best answered in consultation when there is a more clear picture of body goals and starting points.  In general we explain that the more you put in, the more you can expect to take away.  However there are limits and some treatments require special guidelines.  We advise to do treatments at least once a week although twice weekly typically yields better result.  It is also advised to allow at least 72 hours between sessions, even if the session is for a different treatment zone.
